The opportunity was identified in a 2020 research article. The organization has collaborated with Agribusiness consultants to create case studies for pasture and mixed cropping scenarios.

By lowering groundwater nutrient concentrations without new water or consents, the amount and cost of external fertiliser is also decreased.
